Cookie Policy

We store one cookie to keep you signed in, plus a few settings saved by your own browser so that features behave the way you left them. If you reached us by clicking one of our ads, we also store the click reference from that ad so we can tell which ad brought you here. We do not run analytics tools, we have no advertising pixel or session recording on the site, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers.

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can recognise you between requests — for example, to know you are still signed in. Browsers also offer “local storage”, which works similarly but stays on your device and is never sent to us automatically.

• Session cookie — created when you sign in and removed when you sign out. It identifies your session so the platform knows who you are on each request, and it is what protects your account. This is strictly necessary: without it you cannot stay signed in.
• Ad click reference — stored only if you arrive from one of our advertisements, because the link then carries a click reference from the advertising platform. It holds that reference and nothing else: no profile, no browsing history, no record of the pages you visit. It lets us see which advertisement led to a sign-up and to a first answered question, and it expires after 90 days. If you did not come from an ad, this cookie is never created.

These are saved by your browser on your own device. They are not transmitted to us on their own and are not used to identify or profile you.

• Your answers and your place in a test you are currently taking — a safety net so that a crashed tab, a closed browser or a dropped connection during an exam does not lose the last few minutes of your work.
• Whether you switched exam-hall sounds on or off in the test runner.
• Whether you have already dismissed the summary shown after a review session.
• An unfinished sign-up — your name and email address while you are waiting for the 6-digit verification code, so that a reloaded or backgrounded tab returns you to the code screen instead of an empty form. Your password is never stored. It is removed as soon as your account is created, and it expires on its own after ten minutes.

Clearing your browser data removes all of these. The only visible effect is that an in-progress test falls back to the last answers saved on our servers, and those two preferences return to their defaults.

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no cross-site tracking script on this platform. No third party is given a window into what you do here.

We do advertise, and we measure whether those advertisements work. Two one-time events are sent from our server to the advertising platform: one when you create an account, and one the first time you answer a practice question. Each carries a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your email address and account reference, your IP address and browser identification, and the ad click reference described above if you have one. Your name, phone number, which question you answered, your answer, and your scores are never part of either. Each is sent at most once per account, and they are used to count sign-ups and first answers and to stop showing you an ad for something you already have.

If we ever add an analytics suite or a browser advertising pixel — technologies that would store data for every visitor rather than only ad visitors — we will update this page and ask for your consent before enabling them.

A small number of services are loaded to make the platform work, and they may set their own cookies when their content is used:

• Our video provider, when you play a protected course or lecture video.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used across the site.
• Google Sign-In, only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.

These are governed by those providers' own privacy policies. We do not use them for advertising or profiling.

Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies and local storage in its settings. Because the only cookie we set is the one that signs you in, blocking it will sign you out and prevent you from accessing your courses and tests.
